Note

•  Drive belt deflection/tension inspection is not necessary because of the use of the drive belt auto tensioner.

1.  Turn the steering wheel to the right.

2.  Verify that the drive belt auto tensioner indicator mark does not exceed the limit.

•  If it exceeds the limit, replace the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)

3.  Visually inspect the drive belt.

•  If any of the following damage occurs to the drive belt, replace the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)

―  Cracks

―  Foreign material caught in mechanism

―  Belt loss
