VARIABLE TUMBLE SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR INSPECTION [MZR 1.6]

Operation inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].)

2.  Remove the variable tumble shutter valve actuator. (See VARIABLE TUMBLE SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)

3.  Connect the battery positive voltage to terminal A or B, and verify that the gear moves.

Terminal		Gear rotation direction
A	B
B+	Ground	Clockwise
Ground	B+	Counterclockwise

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the variable tumble shutter valve actuator. (See VARIABLE TUMBLE SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)
