KNOCK SENSOR (KS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].)

2.  Disconnect the KS connector.

3.  Remove the clip A and B from the intake manifold.

4.  Remove the intake manifold. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)

5.  Remove the clip C from the oil separator.

6.  Remove the KS using the SST.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
