DTC P0667:00

ECU internal temperature sensor/performance problem

DETECTION CONDITION
•  Under the following conditions, the difference between ECU internal temperatures of three ECU internal temperature sensors are 15 °C {27 °F} or more:
―  Engine is running.
―  Soaked for 6 hours or more.
―  No malfunction in ECU internal temperature sensor circuit
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
•  Inhibits learning control.
•  Inhibits neutral idle control.
•  Inhibits i-stop control.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Control valve body malfunction
―  ECU internal temperature sensor (built-into TCM) malfunction

RECORD VEHICLE STATUS WHEN DTC WAS DETECTED TO UTILIZE WITH REPEATABILITY VERIFICATION
Note
•  Recording can be facilitated using the screen capture of the PC function.
•  Record the freeze frame data/snap shot data.
Go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related Service Information availability.
•  Is any related Service Information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, replace the control valve body.
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the control valve body, then go to the next step.

VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
1.  Soak for 6 hours or more.
2.  Start the engine, and warm it up until the ATF temperature is 60 °C {140 °F} or more
, and the engine coolant temperature is 80 °C {176 °F} or more.
•  Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
