DTC U2300:55 [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)]

Description	Instrument cluster configuration not implemented
Detection condition	• AFS control module received a signal which indicates the instrument cluster configuration is not performed.
Fail-safe function	• The swivel actuator is moved to the center. • The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
Possible cause	Note • To correctly write the configuration data sent from the instrument cluster to the AFS control module to the AFS control module, 30 s or more need to have elapsed since the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on). • Instrument cluster configuration is not completed. • Instrument cluster malfunction • AFS control module malfunction

1	VERIFY ALL SYSTEM DTCs • Clear the DTC for the AFS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].) • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 30 s or more. • Perform a CMDTC self-test using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].) • Are there any modules other than the AFS control module displaying DTC U2300:55?	Yes	Using the M-MDS, perform the instrument cluster configuration (using As-Built data) again, then go to the next step. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONFIGURATION (USING AS-BUILT DATA).)
No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY ALL SYSTEM DTCs AGAIN • Clear the DTC for the AFS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].) • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 30 s or more. • Perform a CMDTC self-test using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].) • Are there any modules other than the AFS control module displaying DTC U2300:55?	Yes	Replace the instrument cluster, then go to the next step. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED • Clear the DTC for the AFS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].) • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 30 s or more. • Retrieve the AFS control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].) • Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the AFS control module, then go to the next step. (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED • Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)].)
No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
