DTC P009E:00

Fuel pressure relief valve malfunction (stuck close)

DETECTION CONDITION
•  When the following conditions are met, the pressure reduction amount during the fuel pressure relief valve operation is insufficient for several seconds continuously.
MONITORING CONDITIONS
―  Battery voltage: 10—16 V
―  0.5 s have elapsed after ignition was switched ON.
―  During fuel pressure control
―  The following DTCs are not detected:
•  Fuel pressure control system: P0093:00
•  Fuel pressure relief valve control: P009B:00, P009C:00, P009D:00, P009F:00
•  Suction control valve: P062A:00
•  Fuel pressure sensor: P0191:00, P0192:00, P0193:00
•  Fuel temperature sensor: P0181:00, P0182:00, P0183:00
Diagnostic support note
•  This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
•  The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
•  FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available.
•  DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
•  PCM restricts engine torque.
•  Restricts upper limit of the engine speed.
•  Inhibits engine-stop by operating the i-stop function.
•  PCM restricts engine-transaxle integration control. (ATX)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Fuel pressure relief valve malfunction
•  Suction control valve malfunction
•  PCM malfunction
