POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6])

2.  Remove the intake manifold and the fuel distributor component as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)

3.  Disconnect the PCV hose from the PCV valve.

4.  Remove the dipstick pipe. (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.6].)

5.  Remove the positive crankcase ventilation valve and the oil separator as a single unit.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Oil separator tightening torque
8—11 N·m {82—112 kgf·cm, 71—97 in·lbf}
