Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

2.  Disconnect the HP-EGR control valve connector.

3.  Inspect the resistance between HP-EGR control valve terminals A and E.

HP-EGR control valve resistance (specification)
0.3—100 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the HP-EGR control valve. (See HP-EGR CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)
