LP-EGR CONTROL VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5]

Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

2.  Lift up the vehicle.

3.  Remove the insulator. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

4.  Disconnect the LP-EGR control valve connector.

5.  Inspect the resistance between LP-EGR control valve terminals D and E.

LP-EGR control valve resistance (specification)
0.3—100 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the LP-EGR control valve. (See LP-EGR CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)
