Note

•  Because the boost air temperature sensor is integrated with the MAP sensor, replacing the boost air temperature sensor includes replacement of the MAP sensor/boost air temperature sensor. (See MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR/BOOST AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

Resistance Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

2.  Remove the MAP sensor/boost air temperature sensor. (See MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR/BOOST AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

3.  Measure the resistance between MAP sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminals A and B.

•  If not as specified, replace the MAP sensor/boost air temperature sensor. (See MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR/BOOST AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)
