Description

Auto leveling control module internal malfunction

•  RAM/ROM malfunction
•  Headlight leveling system function malfunction
•  CAN hardware malfunction
Detection condition
•  RAM/ROM malfunction
―  Auto leveling control module detected a malfunction in the internal RAM/ROM.
•  Headlight leveling system function malfunction
―  Auto leveling control module detected headlight leveling system function malfunction three times continuously.
•  CAN hardware malfunction
―  Auto leveling control module detected CAN hardware malfunction three times continuously.
Fail-safe function
•  RAM/ROM malfunction
―  The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
•  Headlight leveling system function malfunction
―  Not applicable
•  CAN hardware malfunction
―  The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE MALFUNCTION
•  Clear the DTC for the auto leveling control module using the M-MDS.
•  Retrieve the auto leveling control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the auto leveling control module.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No
