•  Verify the "Brightness Control" setting for the active driving display using the center display.
•  The "Brightness Control" is set automatically.
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Switch the setting to automatic.

VISUALLY INSPECT ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine on).
•  Visually inspect the display device or the reflection part of the active driving display for dust or dirt.
•  Is there any dust or dirt on the active driving display?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Remove any dust or dirt on the active driving display.

VISUALLY INSPECT PHOTO SENSOR
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Visually inspect the photo sensor part for dust or dirt.
•  Is there any dust or dirt on the photo sensor part?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Remove any dust or dirt on the photo sensor part.

DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS PHOTO SENSOR
•  Shine light on the photo sensor part of the active driving display and inspect.
•  Does the active driving display dim automatically?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the active driving display.

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED
•  Is the active driving display operating normally?
Yes
Troubleshooting completed (explain the contents of the servicing to the customer).
No
Verify the malfunction symptom in the symptom troubleshooting chart and perform the other applicable malfunction diagnosis.
