IDLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5]

Note

•  The idler is only installed to vehicles without A/C.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

2.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

4.  Remove in the order shown in the figure.

2	Idler installation bolt

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Idler Installation Note

1.  Set the idler to the engine and temporarily tighten the idler installation bolts.

2.  Completely tighten the idler installation bolts.
