DC-DC Converter Operation Inspection
1. Verify that the DC-DC converter related DTC is detected. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)
-
• If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
• If a DTC is not detected, go to the next step.
2. Inspect the battery. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5])
-
3. When the engine is restarted by the i-stop control, verify that the following measured voltages are not lower than 11.5V.
-
• Rain sensor (auto light sensor) supply terminal (vehicle wiring harness-side connector terminal D) (with auto light system)
• Audio unit supply terminal (vehicle wiring harness-side connector terminal 1B) (without center display)
• Tuner and amp unit (TAU) supply terminal (vehicle wiring harness-side connector terminal 2B) (with center display)
-
― If it cannot be verified, go to the next step.
4. Inspect the wiring harness between the following terminals for an open or short circuit.
-
• DC-DC converter terminal K—Rain sensor (auto light sensor) terminal D (with auto light system)
• DC-DC converter terminal K—Audio unit terminal 1B (without center display)
• DC-DC converter terminal K—Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2B (with center display)
-
― If there is any open or short circuit in the wiring harness, repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
