POWER SEAT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning

•  Handling a front seat equipped with a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated). (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS.) (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS.)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) 2.  Remove the front seat side cover. (Front door side) (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Rotate the slide/lift switch knob in the direction of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to detach the slide/lift switch knob from the power seat switch tab.

4.  Move the slide/lift switch knob in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to detach the slide/lift switch knob from the power seat switch tab.

5.  Remove the slide/lift switch knob.

6.  Rotate the recliner switch knob in the direction of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to detach the recliner switch knob from the power seat switch tab.

7.  Move the recliner switch knob in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to detach the recliner switch knob from the power seat switch tab.

8.  Remove the recliner switch knob.

9.  Remove the screws.

10.  Remove the power seat switch.

11.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
