DTC P0506:00	IAC system RPM lower than expected
DETECTION CONDITION	DTC P0506:00 • The actual idle speed is lower than expected by 100 rpm for 14 s, when the brake pedal is depressed (brake switch is on). Note • If the atmospheric pressure is less than 72.2 kPa {0.736 kgf/cm², 10.5 psi} or the intake air temperature is below −10 °C {14 °F}, the PCM cancels the diagnosis of DTC P0506:00. Diagnostic support note • This is a continuous monitor (CCM). • The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM. • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle. • FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is available. • DTC is stored in the PCM memory. DTC P151B:00 • The PCM cannot control the idle speed toward the target idle speed during the KOER self test. Diagnostic support note • The check engine light does not illuminate. • FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2) is not available. • Snapshot data is available. • DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

4	INSPECT A/C MAGNETIC CLUTCH OPERATION • Turn the A/C switch off. • Is the magnetic clutch still on?	Yes	Perform the symptom troubleshooting “NO.24 A/C IS ALWAYS ON OR A/C COMPRESSOR RUNS CONTINUOUSLY”. (See NO.24 A/C IS ALWAYS ON OR A/C COMPRESSOR RUNS CONTINUOUSLY [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
No	Go to the next step.
5	INSPECT DRIVE-BY-WIRE CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION • Perform the Drive-by-wire Control System Inspection. (See ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to Step 11.
No	Go to the next step.
6	INSPECT PURGE SOLENOID VALVE • Inspect the purge solenoid valve. (See PURGE SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) • Is there any malfunction? No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to the next step.
11	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED • Always reconnect all disconnected connectors. • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) • Start the engine and warm it up completely. • Depress the brake pedal for 14 s or more. • Perform the KOER self test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) • Perform the Pending Trouble Code Access Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) • Is the PENDING CODE and/or DTC for this DTC present?
