DETECTION CONDITION
|
Determination conditions
|
• Large torque fluctuation condition continues in No.1 cylinder while main injection is performed 40 times in cylinder No.1 by fuel injector No.1
|
Preconditions
|
• Vehicle speed: 2 km/h {2 mph} or more
• APP: 0.1% or less
• Engine speed: 780—860 rpm or more (ATX)
• Engine speed: 700—840 rpm or more (MTX)
• ECT: 40 °C {104 °F} or more
• IAT (IAT sensor No.1): -10 °C {14 °F} or more
• Fuel pressure at common rail: 35 MPa {357 kgf/cm2, 5077 psi} or more
• During fuel injection
• Diesel particulate filter regeneration control is not performed
• Gear position: neutral (MTX)
• Other than moment clutch is engaged or released (MTX)
• Other than moment gear position is changed (MTX)
• Other than moment gear is shifted (ATX)
• The following DTC is not detected:

• Is the DTC P1052:00 on FREEZE FRAME DATA?

Go to the troubleshooting procedure for DTC on FREEZE FRAME DATA.

PURPOSE: RECORD FREEZE FRAME DATA/SNAPSHOT DATA AND DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS TO UTILIZE WITH REPEATABILITY VERIFICATION
• Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA/snapshot data and DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS (fuel system related) on the repair order.

PURPOSE: VERIFY IF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT IS AFFECTED BY OTHER RELATED DTCs OCCURRING
• Switch the ignition off, then ON (engine off).
• Perform the Pending Trouble Code Access Procedure and DTC Reading Procedure.
• Is the other PENDING CODE/DTC also present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No
|
Go to the next step.

|
PURPOSE: VERIFY IF THERE IS PID ITEM CAUSING DRASTIC CHANGES OF ACCELERATION FLUCTUATION BY INPUT SIGNAL TO PCM AND DSC HU/CM
• Access the following PIDs using the M-MDS:

• Is there any signal that is far out of specification?

Inspect the suspected sensor and related wiring harness.
• If there is any malfunction:
• If there is no malfunction:

No
|
Go to the next step.

|
PURPOSE: VERIFY CONNECTOR CONNECTIONS
• Access the following PIDs using the M-MDS:

• When the following parts are shaken, does the PID value include a PID item which has changed?

Yes

Repair or replace the applicable connector parts.
Go to the troubleshooting procedure to perform the procedure from Step 4.

No
|
Go to the troubleshooting procedure to perform the procedure from Step 1.

PURPOSE: INSPECT FOR MALFUNCTION DUE TO ENGINE
• Inspect the engine for followings:
• Is there any malfunction?

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to the next step.

No
|
A malfunction caused by the use of inferior fuel can be considered.
Replace the fuel, then go to the next step.

|
PURPOSE: PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS PCM
• Always reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
• Implement the repeatability verification procedure.
• Perform the Pending Trouble Code Access Procedure.
• Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC present?

Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM.
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”.
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
