STEERING SWITCH INSPECTION

Without Bluetooth system
1. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)
3. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL.) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION.)
4. Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Verify that the resistance and continuity between the steering switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

6. Apply battery positive voltage to steering switch terminal 3F, and connect terminal 3B to ground.

7. Verify that the LED illuminates.
With Bluetooth system
1. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) 4. Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Verify that the resistance and continuity between the steering switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

6. Apply battery positive voltage to steering switch terminal 3F, and connect terminal 3B to ground.

7. Verify that the LED illuminates.
